David Clapp is a professional photographer and photojournalist. David embraces digital photography specializing in landscapes, seascapes, architecture, travel, macro and close-up. An avid fan of alternative lens systems he uses all manner of weird and wonderful glass in front of the latest digital bodies – “Landscape photographers in particular could do with a fresh look at lenses from the past. The amount of modern lenses that are humiliated by older manual focus equipment is staggering, to say the least. Only two of the seven lenses I regularly use have auto focus.”
Represented by eight agencies, both UK and worldwide he supplies clients with high quality images for advertising as well as photography magazines and other publications. A contributor to Practical Photography, Digital Camera and featured expert in Amateur Photographer, he also works closely with Ephotozine. “Internet media is the most powerful form of communication.”
David also travels extensively in search of historical and architectural subjects. Running an unconventional ‘Non-Workshops’from his website, David’s approach to interaction with other photographers is somewhat unorthodox - “I am not about making money and artistic ego; I just use the camera as a ticket to adventure. The internet and its connectivity is proving the most incredible way of meeting photographers who want to trade skills, knowledge and locations. I now have some firm contacts and good friends as far as New Zealand, Canada and beyond. I have had many exciting offers, from Sierra Nevada to India, Argentina and now a trip to through China to Everest in the Himlayas is happening, all from my small guitar filled office in Devon. These are exciting times to say the least.”

Are you like me, forever unsatisfied with your photographic outdoor clothing? Always overheating, or not warm enough? Lacking in pockets, or indeed sensible ideas? Well let me introduce you to a quality outdoor system that will deliver all that you need without a ridiculous price tag, designed by photographers for photographers. Ladies and gentleman I give you the outdoor clothing for you.
After first discussions about this concept over the telephone with Stealth Gear's managing director, I have to say I was slightly apprehensive. Photography suits always mean those geeky beige photo vests to me, 'nerd ware' for holding everything that's in your camera bag anyway. SG had certainly got my mind whirring as the idea behind the suit was one of simplicity and a straightforward approach.
