Hello, welcome and thank you for taking the time and trouble to visit my page here on the “Stealth Gear” site. The home of excellent “outdoor” and “camouflage” materials and accessories, including clothing, hides, etc.

My name is John Fairclough and I am a professional photographer who specialises in environmental, natural history and wildlife photography, especially British species and subjects. My interest in photography began in the late 80s when my wife Carol announced “she had found him a hobby” and at this time I joined the “St Helens Camera Club”, soon to become a very active member. In the late 90s I decided to sell his music industry company and turn my hobby of being a “semi-pro” nature photography into a new full time venture. The transition actually took place in 2003.

In 2002 I won an international wildlife competition which had a first prize consisting of a 14day round trip, all expenses paid, to the Falkland Islands via Chile. This was absolutely awesome.

During 2003 and 2004 I examined a pro level digital camera for Canon and it was on the examination of the results that I then decided to become a digital user. Throughout the years that followed I have continually upgraded my camera bodies as and when I have felt it necessary and justified. Today I use two top bodies manufactured by Canon, the 1Ds MKII and the 1D MKIII.

Throughout the most recent years, my work has progressed from strength to strength, increasing my customer base on a regular basis. During this time my travels have taken me to many locations in the UK plus some of the more exotically named areas such as Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and of course the Falklands Islands.

Apart from continually updating my stock images I also run workshops and course for both individuals, charities and corporate organisations. Included in these courses and workshops are the very popular “How to get off P & A” and my “one to one” sessions.

During more recent weeks and following conducting some trials on the “Extreme Photographers Suit” (4 piece) which is manufactured and distributed by “Stealth Gear”, I am very please to say that I was most certainly well impressed.

More about the company’s past, present and future products will come soon, hopefully along with some breaking news about “Stealth Gear”, my company “Fotographic Images” and myself.

If you would like to be kept informed regarding all future work which I am involved in and equipment I am testing, especially that of “Stealth Gear”, please visit my web-site www.fotographicimages.co.uk and the via the contact page sign up for a copy of my free newsletter.

My/Johns images are represented worldwide by the "Photolibrary Group, Oxford Scientific Films, and Social Stock.

John Fairclough Thoughts On Extreme Photographers Suit

Tuesday, 28 July 2009 08:22

When I first received and unpacked my “Extreme Photographers Suit” to say I was immediately well impressed may be an understatement.
Four pieces of clothing, jacket, fleece, trousers, and vest, all made from a number of very strong materials and all to an extremely high standard. I think that must be where the word “Extreme”, which is used in the product title has come from.
