The Seven Oaks Tent Heater – Outdoor Heating Made in Germany
The heater for hunters, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts

Description

For the hunter on the raised hide or for the angler at the lake as a tent heater, the Seven Oaks outdoor heater provides the necessary warmth when sitting in a raised hide or on a fishing trip. We've equipped the latest model of our pulpit heater with an anti-tip feature that makes it even safer. Once the tent heater tips over, it immediately cuts off the gas supply and the flame goes out immediately. Complemented by the oxygen deficiency safety device, the Seven Oaks heater offers optimal safety and comfort. Even otherwise, the Seven Oaks pulpit heater offers all the features of a modern outdoor heater. It ignites electronically and thus noiselessly (in contrast to piezo ignition), which is particularly important for anglers and hunters. It is operated with commercially available 5 or 11 kg cylinders. The necessary pressure reducer with gas pressure hose is included.

Application

The pulpit heater produces warm air through its gas burner, there is no catalytic radiation. In this way, the desired heat is generated immediately after the heater is ignited. We have completely revised the inner workings of the heater compared to the previous models. The gas burner is now covered by an additional plate, so that the flame remains invisible even when looking through the upper pinhole. As a result, there is no longer any direct light glow, which was also very impractical, at least for hunters. The equipment also includes an oxygen deficiency safety device and a tilt safety device in addition to the obligatory ignition safety device. This enhances safety in tents and on sleeping shelters. The Seven Oaks outdoor heater has a carrying handle, an 80 cm hose with quick coupling, a stand and a wall bracket, a pressure reducer for 50 mbar, compatible for the entire D.A.C.H. area, and a battery for the electric ignition.

Important safety information

  • The pulpit heater may only be used outdoors or in well-ventilated rooms. The device must not be used in closed rooms, below ground level, in living and office spaces, nurseries/children's facilities or similar recreation rooms, in bathrooms and bedrooms, high-rise apartments, recreational vehicles (such as motorhomes and caravans), on boats, in passageways or in rooms or parts of rooms where explosive or highly flammable substances are present or may be generated.
  • Even though the device is equipped with safety devices, adequate ventilation must be ensured at all times. Ventilation openings must be provided with a cross-section of 100 cm² each for this device.
  • The device may only be operated via an intermediate pressure regulator. The outlet pressure of the pressure regulator must correspond to the pressure specified on the device label. The device label is attached to the side wall of the heater. The pressure regulator must be standard-compliant and approved.
  • The device may only be operated with a propane/butane mixture. Check the presence and proper condition (no damage) of the seal in the cylinder valve (also when changing cylinders). Do not use additional seals. Protect liquid gas containers from heat (e.g. strong sunlight).
  • Gas may only be extracted when the cylinder is in an upright position.
  • Ensure that the hose is neither kinked nor twisted. The hose must comply with standards and be approved.
  • The flexible hose must be installed and laid in such a way that it cannot come into contact with hot components.
  • If signs of ageing or damage appear, the hose must be replaced immediately. The hose must be replaced with a new one after 6 years at the latest.
  • After installation and each time the cylinder is changed, all connections must be checked for leaks using leak detection spray. Leak testing with an open flame is strictly prohibited.
  • Do not change the location of the device during operation.
  • Check the device at regular intervals during operation to ensure safe operation.
  • Do not touch the housing parts during and immediately after use due to the risk of burns. It is not permitted to make structural changes to the device. These can be dangerous. When changing the cylinder, open flames and similar sources of ignition (sparks, etc.) are not permitted in the vicinity.
  • Always close the cylinder valve before changing the cylinder.
  • When using as a space heater, place the device on a level, firm, non-combustible surface during operation and ensure that there is sufficient distance from combustible materials and substances. The following minimum distances must be observed: 40 cm to surfaces above and 10 cm to vertical surfaces to the side. The necessary minimum distance to surfaces behind is achieved by the mounted brackets.
  • If the device is used as a wall heater, a minimum distance of approximately 30 cm from the floor is recommended. This ensures favourable air circulation.
  • Only the brackets supplied may be used to set up or hang the device.
  • Repair and maintenance work may only be carried out by authorised specialist personnel.
